About
Two public school teachers navigate the challenges of implementing Asian-American history in their classrooms after Illinois becomes the first state to mandate it with the Teaching Equitable Asian American Community History (TEAACH) Act.
This short documentary explores broader questions: Who gets included in American history? What happens when students encounter histories that have largely been absent from their classrooms? How can a more complete understanding of the past shape students’ sense of identity, belonging, and connection to one another?
